Cove Yoga is offering an opportunity to immerse yourself in your yoga practice.
This course is for students who wish to deepen their yoga practice, or explore the possibilities of teaching yoga in the future. Yoga is transformative, and these immersions will give the student the opportunity to explore yoga much more in depth than a standard class. Basic philosophy and history of yoga will be explored, along with anatomy as it applies to a yoga practice. Students learn the basics of asana and are given an opportunity to understand poses on a fundamental level. This understanding of pose families and sequencing will give students the ability to create a strong home practice, which is essential to a lasting yoga practice or learning to teach. Students will learn how to care for basic injuries and imbalances in the knees, back, shoulders and hips.
